How to Install PET Panels: Step-by-Step Guide

Installing PET (polyester fiber) acoustic panels is a simple process that can significantly improve sound quality in any room. Whether you're mounting them on walls or ceilings, follow these steps for a secure and professional installation.

1. Pre-Installation Preparation

Tools & Materials Needed:

PET acoustic panels
Measuring tape & level
Pencil or chalk for marking
Adhesive (for glue-mounting)
Drill (if using screws)
Laser level (optional, for precision)

Surface Preparation:

Ensure the wall/ceiling is clean, dry, and smooth.
Remove dust, grease, or loose paint.
For uneven surfaces, use a plywood backer board for better adhesion.

2. Mounting Method-Adhesive Mounting

Apply high-strength construction adhesive (like liquid nails) in a zigzag pattern on the panel’s back.
Press firmly against the wall for 30 seconds.
Use temporary masking tape to hold in place while drying (24 hours).

3. Installation Steps

Measure & Mark – Use a level to mark panel positions.
Start from the Bottom (if stacking panels) for better alignment.

4. Maintenance Tips

Dust regularly with a soft brush or vacuum.
