How to Install PET Panels: Step-by-Step Guide

Installing PET (polyester fiber) acoustic panels is a simple process that can significantly improve sound quality in any room. Whether you're mounting them on walls or ceilings, follow these steps for a secure and professional installation.

1. Pre-Installation Preparation
 

Tools & Materials Needed:

• PET acoustic panels
• Measuring tape & level
• Pencil or chalk for marking
• Adhesive (for glue-mounting)
• Drill (if using screws)
• Laser level (optional, for precision)

Surface Preparation:

• Ensure the wall/ceiling is clean, dry, and smooth.
• Remove dust, grease, or loose paint.
• For uneven surfaces, use a plywood backer board for better adhesion.

2. Mounting Method-Adhesive Mounting

• Apply high-strength construction adhesive (like liquid nails) in a zigzag pattern on the panel’s back.
• Press firmly against the wall for 30 seconds.
• Use temporary masking tape to hold in place while drying (24 hours).
